A warm welcome to the University of Exeter, and congratulations on your achievement at securing a place in the Business School. We all look forward to meeting you at the Penryn Campus in September. During Freshers’ Week, we’ll introduce you to your fellow students, and to the various members of the department who will be teaching and advising you during your time here.
Our friendly campus community will help you to get involved in many activities, whether academic or extra-curricular. Campus life in Cornwall offers numerous opportunities to complement your studies with sporting and cultural activities. The Students' Union – the FXU – is run jointly with Falmouth University and provides ideal opportunities for meeting new people and having fun, as well as becoming involved in community activities and developing skills of leadership.
We are a supportive and friendly community of learners: as staff, we mean to make a difference to your lives and the world beyond academia by what we do, and as students you should have the same goals. If you do, you will have a fulfilling and productive experience studying Business and Management in Cornwall and thrive at our university.

Before you get here you will need to familiarise yourself with the module information, register with the University and activate your University IT account. Once you have activated your University IT account you will have access to iExeter, the student portal.
Once you have registered, please familiarise yourself with module information including the module reading lists found via the College intranet For each module, you’ll be able to view the ‘Indicative learning resources - Basic reading’ at the bottom of each module description webpage.

Freshers’ Week 2017: Saturday 16 September – Sunday 24 September
All students are expected to be on campus by Monday 18 September at the latest. If there is any reason why you may not be here by this date, please get in contact with your Programme Administrator by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. During Freshers' Week you should attend the Academic Induction events and activities for your subject/s.
The purpose of Academic Induction is to introduce you to your academic programme, complete any necessary pre-registration tasks, familiarise yourself with your academic buildings, and meet fellow students and the academic staff for your subject/s. These sessions form the core part of your Freshers' Week timetable and we expect all students to be present at these compulsory sessions. For the timings and details of events, please see the table below and check My Timetable. Centrally Organised Sessions and Student Services Induction
Please see the Penryn Support Services Induction website for details of centrally organised sessions and Student Services Induction. There will also be sessions organised throughout the week by FXU, the societies and the central services. Please look for my information over arrival weekend.
