Where to go for help
In addition to the Information Point in Building One, there are many areas of support for students within the University:
You will be assigned an Academic Tutor when you arrive, and you should expect to meet with them in the first few weeks of term. Your Academic Tutor can help with support and guidance relating to your programme of study.
Special exam provisions, diagnostic assessments and ongoing disability support
Student Health Centre:
A variety of services including routine medical care, nursing service, travel clinics, sexual health and contraception, minor surgical procedures, physiotherapy, sickness certificates and referral to the counselling services
Reed Mews Wellbeing Centre:
Services include counselling, mental health information, advice and online support. All services from the Wellbeing Centre are offered in accordance with their confidentiality policy
International Student Support Office:
The International Student Support Office, located in the Forum, is dedicated to advising and supporting non-UK students and provides guidance on areas such as visa applications and living in the UK
Student Guild Advice Unit:
Free, independent and impartial advice on money, housing and academic-related matters such as misconduct and interrupting/leaving studies
A student-run listening and information service which is available from 8pm – 8am every night during term time*
