Careers and Employability

As you begin your course you’ll become aware of the importance of thinking about your career.  When it comes to putting the right building blocks in place, the Business School’s Careers and Employability team is here to help you

  • Explore your employment options
  • Understand the graduate recruitment process
  • Prepare for interviews and assessment centres

You can use the main Forum Careers Zone to get general information about careers, the employability advisers will be able to help you:

  • Register on My Career Zone 
  • Book a careers appointment, workshop or employer-led session
  • Get your CV, LinkedIn and application forms reviewed

Use our online resources:

There is a lot of useful information on our careers website, and further careers resources are available on the postgraduate careers resources webpage. You will also be emailed regular updates via our weekly Careers Newsletter on forthcoming employer events and employability skills workshops that are exclusive to Business School students.

The Business School has an online Employability Skills course called YES!, which will help you start thinking about your career direction and train you in employability skills (you will need your University email and password to log in to this training).

Additional support for international students:

The International Student Support Office, located in the Forum, provides expert advice to non-UK students on visas and your right to work in the UK.
