Scholarships and funding for taught Masters and research programmes

We understand the financial pressures that Postgraduate Taught students can face when furthering their studies at university and that as why we offer scholarships for exceptional students, sportspeople and those meeting other criteria as well as expert funding advice and guidance.

Specific scholarships for September 2024 are as follows:

Scholarships and Awards

We are offering one scholarship of £20,000 to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2024 entry. This will be awarded to an academically gifted and talented candidate resident in the UK, paying Home fees, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance. Please note offer holders for online, MRES, PgDip programmes or the Exeter MBA are not eligible for this award.

The closing date for this award is 30 June 2024. Applicants will be notified of the outcome no later than the 31 July 2024.

Postgraduate Taught Global Excellence Scholarships worth £7,500, payable as a reduction of the international tuition fee for the first year of study. We encourage prompt submission of your scholarship application once you have received an eligible programme offer.

Two scholarships of £12,500 are available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2024 entry. These will be awarded to two academically gifted candidates resident in the UK or continental Europe, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance. Please note this scholarship is not available for online, MRes or PGDip programmes of study. This award is not available to International students outside the EU.

The closing date for this award is 30 June 2024.  Applicants will be notified of the outcome no later than the 31 July 2024.

We are pleased to offer graduating University of Exeter students completing their degree in summer 2024 and progressing directly to a standalone taught Masters degree (eg MA; MSc; MRes; MFA) with us in 2024 a scholarship towards the cost of their tuition fees.

We have a number of Scholarships available to students who have had an application accepted to The Exeter MBA.

We are pleased to offer University of Exeter alumni beginning a taught Masters degree (eg MA; MSc; MRes; MFA) with us in 2024 a scholarship towards the cost of their tuition fees.

The scholarship is available to any University of Exeter graduate who has completed one of the following:

  • Graduated from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree awarded by the University of Exeter
  • Completed an inbound Study Abroad semester/year at the University of Exeter
  • Completed a credit-bearing University of Exeter International Summer School

Scholarships are not awarded in conjunction with other scholarships – in the event of you being eligible for more than one award the greater award will be given.
