Trevor and Dominica Yang Exeter MBA Bursary
The Exeter MBA is pleased to be able to offer a bursary of GBP £5,000 (five thousand pounds), per year, from September 2015, for the next five years thanks to the Trevor and Dominica Yang Exetert MBA Bursary.
The Bursary will be available to candidates who can demonstrate:
(i) ordinary residency from Hong Kong or mainland China; and
(ii) financial need.
Trevor and Dominica Yang have been involved with philanthropic courses in Hong Kong and in the United Kingdom for many years. From Facing the World, Room to Read and the Oxford University China Centre, for which they were both nominated for the Distinguished Friend of Oxford Award, to Fu Hong Society – Priscilla’s Home, the Hong Kong Red Cross, Children’s Thalassaemia Foundation Hong Kong, Ladies Committee of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society where Dominica was Chair, and Worldwide Fund for Nature Hong Kong where Trevor was until very recently Chairman, they have always given time, energy and financial assistance. The Trevor and Dominica Yang Exeter MBA Bursary stems from their interest in the protection of the world’s natural environment, and the need to foster talent in this field in Hong Kong and mainland China.
Dominica is currently Chair of the Friends of the Art Museum of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Trevor is Managing Director of HMJ Investments Ltd and Non-Executive Director of the Jebsen Group companies. They live in Hong Kong and have three sons.
Preferential consideration will also be given to applicants with a specific interest in sustainability and sustainable business.
