MBA graduate wins Business Green Sustainability Executive of the Year Award.

Joanna Gilroy (MBA 2013), Head of Sustainability at Bunzl Catering Supplies, won the Sustainability Executive of the Year award at the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards this June. The award recognises the individual who has delivered the greatest improvements in environmental performance and helped to make sustainability central to their company’s overall strategy. Now in their seventh year, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards are considered the biggest sustainability awards in Europe.

New internship programme links students to ACCA approved employers

Twenty Business School undergraduate students will be connected to seven of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Approved Employers for a week-long internship as part of Exeter’s Professional Pathways in Accounting project aiming to prepare graduates for the workplace.

Northern European migrants more willing to integrate than newcomers from Asia and Southern Europe

Immigrants from Northern Europe are more willing to integrate when they make their home in the USA than other newcomers from Asia or Southern Europe, new research shows. Dr Annalisa Marini, from the University of Exeter Business School, used data from the General Social Survey in the USA and the World Value Survey, carried out around the world – to analyse what determines the trust shown by immigrants from different parts of the world towards others when they settle in the United States.
