Arun Advani is a PhD candidate in economics at University College London, and PhD Scholar at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
His research focuses on the role of interactions, particularly networks, on public policy questions in both developing and developed country contexts. He has worked on the role of interactions in influencing the returns to migration, the benefits of microfinance programmes, and the effects of tax audits.
Between 2011 and 2013 he also worked on environmental economics, and the design of public policy in meeting carbon redution targets, at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Over the same period he was an Associate Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, where he taught microeconomics. His earlier studies were in Economics, at the University of Cambridge and University College London.
