Centre's vision

The Centre for Entrepreneurship’s vision is to be recognised internationally for leading debate, deepening our understanding of, and influencing change in how entrepreneurship and innovation contribute to the resilience and well-being of our communities and planet.

As a group of concerned academics, we are not interested in the directionless quantity of entrepreneurship and innovation (profit-focus and winner-takes-all mind-set, move fast and break things), but in the direction and quality of what entrepreneurship might offer for our communities and our planet.

We promote regenerative entrepreneurship and see entrepreneurship as a process of enacting new viable economic activities by individuals and organisations that create economic, social, and environmental value. More importantly, because regenerative behaviour puts people and planet first, it is important to understand how regenerative entrepreneurship and innovation could be the mean to improving them.

In the Centre we are interested in co-developing, sharing, and disseminating the knowledge, tools, and methods we generate with other actors (e.g. higher education institutions), who share our vision and interest in fostering regenerative entrepreneurship.
