The objective of BA Business Economics is to provide you with a theoretical and practical understanding of the economic decisions faced by business and its managers, as well as the ability to analyse the economic and social environment in which these decisions are taken. The programme combines the development of key skills in economics, accounting and management with the application of these skills to the solution of many interacting problems that face business managers. It is a very flexible degree programme that will appeal if you are aiming for a career in business. This programme is recommended if you wish to study economics but don’t want a high mathematical content in your degree programme.
I originally chose Exeter due to the course, which offers a lot of flexibility, and the option to spend a year abroad. There are very few core modules, so you can choose what you want to study. This has enabled me to specialise in marketing - an area I've developed a real interest in since taking it as an optional module.
