BA Business and Accounting is aimed at students seeking a specialist understanding of accounting as well as a general introduction to a broad range of business subjects. The extent to which this degree programme provides exemptions from professional examinations depends upon the options chosen.
The programme assumes that upon graduation you may wish to seek careers in business, the public sector and finance rather than enter the accountancy profession. Whatever career path you choose, however, you can be confident that graduates from the University of Exeter Business School are keenly sought by leading employers.
Exemption from professional accountancy examinations
As a graduate of this programme you will be able to gain exemptions from professional accountancy examinations by application to the relevant accounting body. The level of these exemptions will depend on the modules taken during the programme and the marks attained.
One of elements I like most about my BA in Business and Accounting is its flexibility. The programme includes a heavy chunk of Accounting modules with a pinch of personal choice. I’ve been able to focus on all the major Accounting modules but also choose other modules within the Business School that I might find relevant in the real world.
