List of faculty teaching for this training week includes: Bart lambrecht (Lancaster University Management School), Krishna Payudal (University of Strathclyde Business School), Marc Goergen (Cardiff Business School), Raghavendra Rau (Judge Business School, Cambridge University), and Ingolf Dittmann (Erasmus School of Economics, Rotterdam).

This is a PhD level course covering topics in the valuation of real options and corporate liabilities, financing mix: capital structure and debt maturity choices, issues in corporate governance and endogeneity in corporate finance and corporate governance research, mergers and acquisitions and executive compensation.

Objectives:
The 1-week training module is aimed at finance PhD students working on any topic who wish to obtain a wider grounding than the specific area of their thesis as well as students specifically working in corporate finance.

Teaching Methods:
The teaching methods consist of a series of lectures, exercises, case examples and hands-on practical sessions distributed throughout the day.  Students will be guided through the concepts in the lectures.  Exercises are used to enhance students' understanding of the taught materials. Students are expected to work on their own or in groups, on these exercises during their "free" time and the hands-on sessions.
