Valuing Knowledge in Organisations
|Speaker:||Dr Tom Housel, Marshall School of Business|
|Date:||Wednesday 6 June 2001|
|Location:||Room 221 Streatham Court|
Tom Housel has pioneered research into valuing knowledge in organisations. His basic premise is that traditional accounting methods fail to take account of an organisation's market value. Organisations need to know where the knowledge is located in the business and what the cost is of using that knowledge. This informs the strategy making process. He will present the theoretical foundations to his research and its application in two case studies.
