Further details
Reflexivity has become an increasingly popular term in Organization Studies over the last 20 years but is still viewed with suspicion and skepticism because it can complicate life considerably. We know reflexivity has something to do with questioning conventional conceptions about the nature of social reality, knowledge, and the validity of our methods of inquiry, but how to be reflexive in our research and our practice is a puzzling matter. In this seminar, we will we will explore different approaches to reflexivity – epistemological, methodological and ontological – and examine their implications. In particular we will discuss ways in which we might engage in reflexivity as a person, researcher, educator and practitioner.
