University of Exeter students named as finalists in the “investment Olympics”
Students from the University of Exeter Business School have been named as finalists in a competition known as the “investment Olympics”.
Adedeji Ajadi, Penny Wang, Bristant Tamang Bamjan, Tram Nguyen and Xian Lim have reached the UK final in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Research Challenge, a global competition that provides postgraduate Masters students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis.
The CFA is the professional body for financial and equity analysts. Students taking part in the project have to work in teams to research and analyse a publicly traded company - this year's company is G4S - and then write and present a report with a buy, sell, or hold recommendation.
Teams from business schools around the world take part in the competition. The Exeter team, along with students from Cranfield University, King’s College London and the University of Stirling, have qualified for the final of the UK stage. There are two further stages - European and Global. The UK final will take place in London on 22nd March.
