Business Management and Marketing ranking soars in the Guardian University league tables 2020
Business Management and Marketing was ranked 7th in the UK in the Guardian University rankings released today; an improvement of 15 places on last year.
The subject area also came top for employability, reflecting the 100% record of securing a graduate level job or progressing to postgraduate study for those completing a degree in Business & Management*.
Building on the success of previous years The University of Exeter overall placed 10th in the UK, compared to its position of 14th last year.
Professor David Bruce Allen, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of the University of Exeter Business School, said: “We are thrilled with the continued progress we have seen for Business Management and Marketing, which is a result of the hard work of our staff and their commitment to delivering an outstanding learning experience for students. We are extraordinarily proud of how well-equipped our graduates are for work.
The rankings are based on official data collected by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and on the National Student Survey completed by final year students.
Results are compiled from factors most important to students: Course satisfaction, feedback, assessment and teaching quality (from the NSS), along with staff-student ratio, spend per student, average entry tariff, value added to students’ entry qualifications, career after six months and continuation rate from first year into second year.
