Business School hosts international tax conference
The University of Exeter Business School will be hosting the 22nd Tax Research Network Conference on 3 - 4 September 2013, an event sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland.
The international audience includes speakers and delegates from the UK Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, the Netherlands Austria and Italy. Topics for discussion include tax compliance by both individual taxpayers and large companies, recent developments in international taxation including the OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting project, as well as tax administration.
Professor Lynne Oats, one of the organisers, said: “The Tax Research Network Conference is a forum where researchers share their interests with practitioners and administrators as well as each other, with the aim of increasing our understanding of tax policy and practice in the UK and abroad. Corporate taxation will continue to be a hot topic, so this year we are including an early career researcher symposium in the interests of capacity building in tax research for the future.”
