Business School to host South West digital marketing conference 2013
Mark Challinor, director of mobile platforms at the Telegraph Media Group will give a fascinating insight into how the Telegraph Media Group is monitoring and learning from its customers at the South West Digital Marketing Conference 2013 at the Business School on 22 May 2013.
Mr Challinor explains: “People are consuming our news content in different ways than they are use to, in years gone by. We need to ensure our content is accessible where our customers are going and increasingly that's on mobile devices.”
“The challenge at the Telegraph is to deliver a nirvana of content anytime and anywhere. Ours was a traditional news print business - but we have needed to embrace the sea of change and I will be highlighting the lessons learnt that are applicable to any business. It’s down to simply understanding ‘where the eyeballs go, that's where the money is’”.
Mr Challinor will be joined by a panel of digital marketing experts including; Andrew Leon Walker, content marketing consultant at Rame Marketing, Finn Ryan, senior product manager at BSkyB and Damian Ryan and Calvin Jones, co-authors of Understanding Digital Marketing ‘Turning knowledge into profit - how digital generates a strong ROI’ . A copy of the book is included in the cost for delegates. They will all review digital marketing trends, forecast what is around the corner and give tips on how to improve your digital marketing.
Alex Janes Director of Education, Organisation Studies at the Business School added "We are delighted that so many practitioners will be at the School discussing the biggest marketing challenges of the day. It's also a great opportunity for our students to have a such a prestigious conference literally on their doorstep."
The conference, organised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing in the South West, is suitable for marketers, business owners and managers looking to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest digital developments or for those simply seeking a better understanding of the different digital marketing elements and how they fit together.
Speaker and Chartered Institute of Marketing member, Andrew Walker says:
“Digital marketing disciplines such as content marketing, inbound marketing and social media are key drivers in getting a business found online and to generate leads, build brands and engage an audience. It takes time and some informed effort, as the technology involved is moving so fast – this conference will really help delegates to decide where to focus their efforts.”
