Business School mourns loss of colleague

Yesterday the Business School was informed of the unexpected death of our colleague and friend, Jenny Wren.

This is terribly sad and unexpected news, especially for Jenny's family, her many friends and colleagues, and the students that she taught and engaged with. It will take us all some time to absorb.

Jenny has touched so many of our lives and many of us want to share our stories and the sadness we feel. A book of memories will be available this morning from 9.30 until 2pm in the Collaboratory (Streatham Court 0.28), and then all day on Thursday and Friday in the Xfi Boardroom.

Support will be provided for colleagues and students in the School who are affected and would like someone to talk to over the next week. Please remember that support is also available from the Occupational Health team , Care First, and the University chaplaincy service.

At 2pm today 13 March 2013 Peter Lee, Multi Faith chaplain will lead a Moment of Reflection for the whole School in the Collaboratory. This will be followed by the planned March Collaboratory session at 2.10pm.

Teaching was Jenny's passion and she will be much missed by all those who knew her.

Date: 13 March 2013
