Free carbon reduction event for businesses in Cornwall

A free half day conference on October 11 at the Eden Project aims to bring local businesses in Cornwall up to date with the latest advice and techniques in the field of carbon reduction.

The Clear About Carbon project has put together an agenda which includes practical advice, case studies and high profile key note speakers such as Shaun McCarthy Chair, Commission for a Sustainable London 2012; David Wathey Head of Sustainable Procurement, Department of Health and Amy Whidburn , Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, Home Retail Group.

The event aims to cover topics such as why carbon is so important to Cornish businesses; what is a carbon footprint and how to reduce it; sustainable supply chains and what the challenges and opportunities of the future will be.

Conference delegates will be participating in a free, business focused event which provides sharp, salient examples and guidance to prepare and equip them for the transition to a low carbon economy.
