The first cohort of students on the new Exeter Modular MBA programme
The Exeter Modular MBA - now underway!
On 24th and 25th January, the School of Business and Economics welcomed the first cohort of students on the new Exeter Modular MBA programme. Eleven students, from locally-based businesses including Rok plc, The Wrigley Company and Riverford Organic Vegetables, attended an induction session and the first part of the Personal Effectiveness Coaching which runs throughout the three year programme helping students develop a range of generic skills and competencies that will be useful in their present and future working lives; Personal Effectiveness is central to management activities.
The Exeter Modular MBA is an innovative three stage process in professional development which starts with modules designed to equip students with a core knowledge of business foundations, the second stage focusses on issues in operating across international borders and the programme finishes with elective modules which explore a range of challenges which affect dynamic businesses including mergers and acquisitions, governance and ethics and customer focus. The students will attend intensive four-day modules, Wednesday to Saturdays included on average once every eight weeks throughout the programme which minimises the disruption to their careers.
The Programme Manager is delighted with the positive feedback from the group, "I am so glad we have a very diverse group to share ideas and experiences" and looks forward to welcoming them back for the Marketing Imagination module in March.
