School is Top 10 for all subjects
The School of Business and Economics has a top 10 ranking for all of its subjects in The Times university league tables, published on 19 June. Accounting and Finance ranks 3rd in the UK , while Business Studies ranks 7th and Economics 10th . The University of Exeter increases its rank from 17th to 13th in the main university league table.
The new rankings mark a significant climb in The Times league tables for the School of Business and Economics. Accounting and Finance improved its position by 19 places compared with last year, while Business Studies increased by 12 places, and Economics by 4.
The School has also scored well in The Independent and The Guardian league tables. Business Studies ranked 4th in The Guardian, with Economics ranking 14th , while in The Independent league tables, Business Studies ranked 7th , with Accounting and Finance 11th and Economics 13th . These strong results place the School firmly in the top 10 among Britain 's universities for business.
The swift rise in rankings reflects a rapid pace of change and positive outlook at the School over the last year, which plans to double its size by 2012, and is investing £25 million in building infrastructure and staff over the next five years.
