Corporate Challenges

Module description

The module is created as a result of the MBA’s recent accreditation by the Association of MBAs. It aims to provide MBA participants with opportunities to expand their skills portfolio by leading and taking part in group-based events and activities related to all aspects of the one planet MBA programme. Through experiential learning the module equips participants with the critical skills they will require in order to redirect their career direction and/or aim for more senior roles within their existing sector or organisation.

Internationalisation: Students can opt to lead and/or take part in projects of an international nature, such as the annual Hult Prize competition and the annual Sustainability Challenge

Employability: The module transfers key employability skills such as leadership, effective team working, communication, planning skills – and others depending on the nature of the projects

External Engagement: All projects available within the White Space benefit from external engagement, e.g. MBA participants from other institutions and countries, corporate engagement, policy makers engagement

Module aims

The aim of the module is to enable you to:

  • Acquire and refine key interpersonal and professional skills
  • Develop yourself, personally and professionally to facilitate your return to work after completion of the programme
  • Work effectively in self-managed teams under supervision and guidance from a member of staff
  • Integrate feedback while applying for jobs
  • Network with external communities
  • Develop self-reflection ability on personal, competencies and experience

  • Hult prize competition
  • Annual sustainability Challenge, in partnership with WWF International
