Principles of Data-Driven Organisational Design

Module description

The push towards data-driven organisational innovation is often accompanied by a review of the design principles upon which the firm, agency or institution in question was founded. Rethinking or reprioritising the use of data can, therefore, lead to the wholesale restructuring of services, production processes, supply-chains, manufacturing systems, and management hierarchies. In this module, you will be introduced to a range of concepts, tools and techniques that aim to make the process of the data-orientated organisational redesign as effective as possible. The module will teach you to evaluate the suitability and applicability of these approaches which may once be implemented, engender different change implications, depending upon whether the choice is made to servitise, personalise, introduce blockchain technology, invest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or strategically identify a combination thereof.
