This module covers the basic theories, tools and techniques that underpin diagnosing an organisation’s strategic position, setting its long-term direction, strategic decision making and the delivery of the strategy. The module will also look at the context within which strategy is made, considering the levels of dynamism and disorder an organisation is facing and how this impacts on the strategic management process. Students will explore the fundamentals of strategic management through a series of case studies and illustrations from a range of different organisations.
