International Tourism Management
In this module you will be introduced to the key features of the relationship between tourism and international business. The module will identify elements of the business environment for international tourism businesses, and you will explore issues of strategic management and innovation in international contexts.
In this module, students look at how tourism is managed in different areas of the world using international examples as case studies.
Sustainability is a theme that runs throughout the module and discussed in terms of responsible tourism. There is also an entire session dedicated to sustainability.
The module attracts various guest speakers from industries such as, tour operations, visitor attractions, hospitality and catering.
Students develop their ability to put theory into practice, as well as their team-working and presentation skills.

The aim of this module is to
- introduce the key features of the relationship between tourism and international business
- identify elements of the business environment for international tourism businesses
- explore issues of strategic management and innovation in international contexts
