Business Project

Module description

Summary:

The aim of the Business Project is to give students the opportunity to combine investigation into an authentic business challenge with a more in-depth research report. This not only offers links with potential employers but demonstrates understanding of the application of business principles in a real-world situation.

Additional Information:

External Engagement

Many of the projects are based on local companies and the students are encouraged to have a business sponsor for their project. Many students make presentations to the businesses at the draft stage of their report and incorporate the company’s responses into the report’s recommendations and conclusions.

Employability

Many previous students have used this project as a bridge into the industry they research and are able to be involved in the follow through of the recommendations in their report. Students also develop their research skills and their ability to structure an influential document. These projects provide most students with a strong talking point for future interviews.
