Dimensions of Leadership: - The Business Leaders Forum's Summer Party
The final Business Leaders Forum event of 2015/16 saw the beginning of the new style of Business Leaders’ Forum Events, with talks from panel members from the Exeter Centre for Leadership Studies.
The University of Exeter Business School is going through a period of dynamic leadership change, and Interim Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean, Richard Owen, was delighted to invite guests to the Business Leaders’ Forum Summer Party, an event themed around leadership. Guests were able to share experiences of leadership in a changing world and learn about the contours of leadership and its study, through an interactive discussion with our panel of Exeter Leadership Network Fellows, headed up by Val Brookes.
The evening was held at the Business School, hosted by Richard Owen and John Powell, Professor of Strategy and Head of Management. Guests enjoyed a panel discussion from our speakers, as well as a lively Q&A session afterwards. The panel consisted of; Alison Hogan, Director, Anchor Partners, Morgen Witzel, Partner, Western Writers Block, Jamie Stewart, Director, Stewart Associates, and Will Tasho, Group Talent Management Director, Hays plc.
The Business Leaders Forum Summer Party saw a step change in the way its events are run; moving away from the traditional two course sit down dinner, to a modern evening combining an indoor networking element as well as an outdoor marquee. A jazz trio was on hand to entertain guests throughout the evening, along with drinks, canapes and a ‘posh buffet’.
