The Business School now has over 3,600 alumni in China

Alumni in China give guidance to future Exeter students

Leaving your home country to study at a foreign University can be a life-changing experience, and often, deciding where to study and what course to choose can be very difficult. To help with this decision-making process the Business School has established Alumni Connect.

This new scheme which allows Chinese students who hold a postgraduate offer from University of Exeter Business School to receive advice from alumni who have made a similar journey in the past. Where possible, prospective students are connected with Exeter graduates from the same course which they are applying to; enabling them to ask questions about specific programme content, the Exeter lifestyle, careers opportunities and other useful information.

May Li (MSc International Management 2013) who has signed up to give advice, said “Students need to be mentored in many ways when facing choices in terms of academic progression and career development. This was how I felt during my university years. Having returned to China to work, I know the local job market well through personal experiences and alumni networks. I look forward to sharing useful information and giving advice to those who are in need, just like the help I received from Exeter alumni.”

Are you a Chinese graduate willing to devote a small amount of your time to answer questions from potential future Exeter students? If so, you can register your interest in joining Alumni Connect by emailing
