MBA Celebrates 25 years at EY London

It’s now 25 years since the first students joined our successful MBA programme. To mark this milestone a special anniversary event was held at EY’s headquarters in the City of London. It was attended by current students, alumni and corporate partners.

Around 50 alumni, along with current students, staff and corporate partners gathered to mark 25 years of the Business School’s successful MBA programme.

Guests included Bob Caton, who was one of the very first MBA graduates and is currently working as an Executive Coach in London.

The event was opened by Professor Robin Mason, Dean of the Business School and Martin Cook, Global Client Service Partner at EY who generously supported the evening.

Guest speaker Michael Townsend of CEO Earthshines Solutions Ltd. spoke about how companies need to change the way they do business globally and his belief that social and environmental solutions should drive businesses, above profit.

Nicolas Forsans, Director of the One Planet MBA, chaired a panel discussion on how responsive businesses that react to their customers’ needs, can bring about a radical change in the way they operate.

On the panel were:

  • Mike Bernard, Marketing Director, Key Accounts, Industries and Business Development at IBM
  • Surrie Everett-Pascoe, Corporate Governance/Sustainability/Business Assurance, Canon UK,
  • Jean-Paul Jeanrenaud, Director One Planet Leaders, WWF International
  • Steve Lang, Partner, Cleantech and Sustainability Services EY and current Executive MBA student

Following the success of the evening, Nicolas Forsans now hopes to hold an MBA Alumni event in London and Exeter each year.
