My main areas of research are in female entrepreneurship, management and widening participation in higher education. I am a quantitative researcher with sound knowledge and practice of qualitative research methods. I have a particular interest in cross-cultural studies in female entrepreneurship. I played a leading role in a project to identify the success strategies of female-(co)founded businesses in the context of the UK and Turkey in collaboration with The University of Liverpool and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. Currently I am working on the skills development of non-traditional students in Higher Education and domestic female entrepreneurship.
