Dr Shamsuddeen Aujara

Shamsuddeen joined the University of Exeter in 2021 as Business Research Impact Fellow and currently working on European Social Fund (ESF) Project. His role mainly is engagement with businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (C&IoS) and delivers economic impact of research, development and innovation (RD&I) activities within participating companies, to develop appropriate high level skills that meet business needs. Shamsuddeen provides research support in smart specialisation areas towards businesses and project partners in the field of marine technology, e-health, agritech, space & aerospace and digital economy.
Prior to joining the University of Exeter, Shamsuddeen worked in the Nigerian Energy sector and has extensive business experience working on different electricity distribution projects. In 2019, he was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Trade Finance from the University of Central Lancashire with a thesis titled “Documentary letter of credit Discrepancy and Risk Management in the Nigerian Crude Oil Export”. He obtained a Certificate in International Trade Finance (CITF) and Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) from the London Institute of Banking & Finance and Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment respectively.
