Sam joined the Business School in 2015 and has helped shape the employability programme for the BSc Business degree at the Penryn campus. She promotes and co-ordinates short term work placement projects for the Business students, working closely with local, national, and international employers from all sectors, who want to provide placement schemes/opportunities that will enable businesses to access a high calibre talent pool, resource existing or new projects and inject fresh ideas into their business all whilst helping with the student’s professional and personal development.
Sam also leads the core employability modules in each year of study and creates a programme of activity to ensure the students are equipped with the skills that employers value most highly, enhance their employability, conduct themselves in a professional manner and ultimately help them transition from student to employee through coaching, events, workshops and 1-2-1 appointments.
