Dr Frederic Ponsignon

Frederic is a Research Fellow in Service Management at the Centre for International Service Research. He was awarded his PhD from the University of Exeter in July 2010. His doctoral research project, conducted in partnership with EDF Energy, investigated the relationship between business strategy, service offerings, and process design in service organisations.
In parallel to his research activities, Frederic took part in a major consulting project to review and improve the performance of operational processes in a large public sector organisation. Additionally, he has designed and delivered courses on process modelling and process design for an audience of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as of business professionals. Recently, Frederic has been involved in a service capability assessment project for Rolls-Royce Defence.
Before joining ISR, Frederic obtained a joint, French-German BA in International Management from the Reims School of Management (RMS). He also holds an MSc in Finance and Management from the University of Exeter. In addition, he worked for a number of leading organisations including Deutsche Bank, Yahoo!, and Oracle where he was involved in merger and acquisitions, consulting, private finance, and accounting.

Frederic is currently participating in several research projects addressing the servitization of manufacturing, business process improvement practices in service firms, the linkages between customer value and service delivery processes, and the implications of a Service Dominant Logic for Operations Management.
