The School's Centre for Finance and Investment (Xfi) was rated second for world-leading and internationally excellent research in the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008 in the Accounting and Finance sub-panel, following on from strong showings in 1996 and 2001. It is also 7th in The Times Top University Guide 2012, jointly with Accounting.
Finance is a modern and fascinating discipline, dealing with money, markets and valuation, and is relevant to all aspects of business. One of our key areas of focus at the University of Exeter Business School and the Centre for Finance and Investment is the relationship between investor expectations of current and future market values. For this reason we stay closely tuned to current and anticipated trends in the global finance industry.
