Our Accounting discipline is growing rapidly and attracting some of the world's leading accounting and finance academics.

Accounting at Exeter has a long history of research excellence, with 5-ratings in national Research Assessment Exercises (RAE) for both 1996 and 2001, and being rated equal 2nd in the UK for RAE 2008 (in the Accounting and Finance sub-panel). Our research is hugely varied, with existing research strengths including Management Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting, Corporate Governance, Social and Environmental Reporting, Capital Markets and Taxation.

Our accounting programmes are highly regarded by students and employers alike and attract a high degree of accreditation from various professional accountancy bodies. Accounting at Exeter is rated 7th in The Times Good University Guide 2012 relevant subject table, reflecting our high standards of research and the excellent calibre of our staff, who share and promote the view that accounting goes far beyond simply sums and company accounts.
